    Creation of Peep

    Peep Stickers
Integrating NFC tags into our project by redesigning them into our stickers that will lead folks to our platform. From there they can use featured programs that relate to health, somking cessation and policy.

AR TechnologyAR filters were developed to help promote the platform on social media platforms to counter typical marketing strategies with billboards around the neighborhood.

Safety ConcernsFor the safety of TGNC folks on the platform, we’ve taken a strategy that focuses on spreading the platform through word of mouth within the community which is how the AR filters will be promoted on social media and the platform, Peep.
Where?Anywhere TGNC folks frequent! Starting points for this campaign includ health centers, cafes, bars and even the streets of LA.

    Peep Kit

Concept To create something tangible outside of just stickers and AR filters, the Peep Kit was developed. It would be given to anyone willing to participate in spreading the message of the platform.

    Why TGNC folks?
We first started off with the focus of why smoking cessation is important for the LGBTQ+ community. Through weeks of extensive research, numbers and statistics for the TGNC community stood out to us. After conducting a power-mapping session to further dive into systemic issues that play role into the LGBTQ+’s struggles with tobacco usage, majority of what we had mapped down naturally turned us to the TGNC community.

    Core Issues
    Lack of mental and
    moral support
    Systemic
    exclusion
    Lack of accessibility to
    social support services
    Social
    stigma

    Problem Statement
The TGNC community faces a critical challenge marked by a severe lack of accessibility, legal protection, and social support resources. This shortage of resources not only hinders the well-being and quality of life for TGNC individuals but also perpetuates systemic discrimination, exclusion, and vulnerability within society, highlighting the pressing need for change, representation and inclusivity.
